Well my last full day on spring break is being used to pack up my house because on March 25th we are leaving North Jersey for good and moving down to Seaside Heights New Jersey. The shore.
This will be the true test of my North Jerseyness, with out a physical connection (besides friends and family) to North Jersey will I still hold onto my "deep-rooted" love for sarcasm, attitude, and interesting point of view.
Of course I will!!!!!
It isn't by chance that at Eastern University I am way too often asscoiated with North Jersey. The saying always has been: "You can take the boy outa Jersey but you can never take Jersey outa the boy!"
Until I feel it absolutely necessary I will continue to "Tawk" with an accent, make rude comments and eat really good food.
My memories in North Jersey are my anchor to that reality and I don't think I will cut the rope soon. I think instead I will learn how to turn my "Jersey" on and off. I sort of understand the mystical powers held in that ability but I will work very hard to hone it.
So don't worry, even though my parents are moving elsewhere this blog will still be saturated with a North Jersey theme.
